I got PoR as a Christmas gift. It ran very stably after the patch. I don't think it crached at all on my system.

The worst coded thing is harder than the best coded. People talk about games have so many crashes, but many crashes are system-specific. Take my Deus Ex crashes, where Jar has none.

Battle Realms seems the worst for me. I think they're on their third patch or something, and the game still has a crashing bug on systems using many NVidia cards (like mine!). They claimed that the last patch fixed it, and I played with renewed happiness for about 1 hour, until the game crashed.

When I said Civ3 for best coded, it wasn't just bugs, either. They put out one minor pacth since release, and that was only needed on 98/ME systems. I've never patched and the game runs perfectly (on W2K)

So true. Lots of people have very frequent crashes in Fallout 2 whereas in my case all the performance problems were solved by the patch.

It's not just nVidia cards. I have a radeon, and Battle Realms won't run more than fifteen minutes or so without crashing.

I have a tie between the worst coded games. The first one is Battle Realms. In addition to the crashing problem I also have problem that causes the characters to turn white and the trees to disappear. The second one is a game one of my friends has. The name of it is Gothic. The game is so slow it isn't funny. It takes about 5 seconds just to load a suing of the character's sword. The graphics are horrible too.

Right Click --> My Computer --> Properties -->Device Manager. This should tell you what you have on your computer.

You could also enter Setup during boot-up. On my computer, I hit the DEL key when prompted. From there I can mess around with the BIOS.

Thanks Milo. Now that I know that, what would it be that I was looking for? Under which heading would it be under. There are a ton of things, which should i list to find out my problems?
