What do you think of me?

I dislike those 3 gears colour. You shouldn't make them all in one colour though. Try different shades of gray and dark brown perhaps. You might try making one gear (preferably the center one) smaller than the other two also.

I'm gonna tell you right now - dark colours are REALLY dark on this monitor. One of the main reasons I use the subSilver theme is becaue I can't SEE the other one on this monitor.

So I really can't see much of your sig - black background with 3 so-gray-they're-nearly-black gears a-twirlin'. That's if i'm looking. Otherwise it's just a black square with some faint movement inside it.

 

Same with this monitor. However, at home, everything is nice and bright. Maybe adjust the gamma on your monitor?

 

Nbrosz, I have a late addition to what I think of you: I think you're posting far too many short and trivial posts right now and it is adding to the already too high spam levels.

Could you do me a favour and throttle back on answering every thread, please?

I get all disappointed when I open a thread hoping to read something interesting and it just has a little bit of smalltalk tacked onto its end.

 

Perhaps it would be better if you reversed the colours? Black on grey like in your sig?

If so, bear in mind that the magic formula for getting a custom avatar only pays lip service to the 1000 post mark. It is MUCH more dependent on Jinxed's goodwill - something that you won't have if you spam your way to 1000.

 

Quethim did get a custom avatar even though he spammed to 1k though. Nbrosz can do a search for Quethim and check out whether what you really want is such an avatar.

Don't get me wrong, nbrosz. I still think you're a swell guy¹ - and you haven't messed up any of my threads. I just find it hard to wade through a lot of semi-empty posts to get to the bits that are interesting.

We can all be friends and happy without needing to make smalltalk constantly. Chatrooms are for smalltalk. You can log onto #ta-regulars on IRC if you wanna chat with other regulars here. The beauty of that is only like-minded people will be there (people who want to chat), so everyone will be happy. Discussion forums are for ... er ... medium sized and big talk (or somthing).

Anyway, while it does get a little annoying to click a thread that has a new response and it turns out to be just a few words or a smilie, that doesn't bother me all that much. What really gets on my nerves is the asshole posts or flaming. It makes it not fun to read through posts. It's a fine line, because sometimes it's funny, and sometimes (when you get to know the poster better) you can tell when it's done tongue-in-cheek. Other times it's just mean and I'd rather not read through a bunch of that shit.

Since I never see you doing those kind of posts, I think you're alright. You help people out with sigs and always seem to be in a good mood; I think the latter especially makes up for any spam you... spam.

 

Yeah, they can be painful, and quite hard to remove.

 

What I wanna know is how and why they were inserted there (in the asshole) to begin with..... Is your ass into "Woodage"?
