Actually, there're five, i have a book entitled "the hitchhiker's trilogy" with all five in it.
    • The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
    • The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
    • Life, The Universe and Everything
    • So Long, And Thanks for the Fish

Excellent. Well worth whatever you pay for them.

While you're there, look up Adams' "The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul", and Terry Pratchett. If you like Hitchhiker's, chances are good you'll like those too.

I'm not going to the trouble to tell you what they're about if you're not even going to read the damn things.

I'm not reading anything at the moment. What I'd like to read are Catch-22 (people keep mentioning it, and I've never read it damn it!), Sun Tzu's The Art of War (really good book overall from what I've heard) and the latest Terry Goodkind book - I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback. I'm not forking out $40 for a book when I can wait half a year instead¹ .

¹Yes, I really am that lazy.

My favorites from him are "Pyramids", "Good Omens" (not Discworld), and "Small Gods", which should be required reading just for its take on religion. Although that one about the Counterweight Continent was good too...

    Exactly

I'd quote some more, but it's 2:15 AM and I can't make out the titles on the book spines by the light of my monitor 15 feet away.

    :'(

    More tommorrow.

Have your read any Stanislaw Lem? He was Polish, wasn't he? My Sci-Fi lecturer at Uni used to think he was one of the best SF authors ever.

Lord Of The Rings: The King Returns

(Or is it "Return Of The King"???)

Great book. IMO the best of the three. When I finish LOTR for god knows what time, I will probably read some Michael Ende books. Probably Momo...

Yeah I know of him, he's a Polish Sci-Fi legend. However, I'm a looser and I never got into his books.
