I will say this though. Avoid septerra cor like the plague. True it has its high points...bu ti got so damn pissed at that game. It is seriously completely pointless..and the battle system is entirely too slaow. As for my previous suggestion- Deus Ex is a littel better thatn SS2... but..it came out later. I was mostly suggesting ss2 cause it is discount and a highly overlooked game. i mean..everyones heard of it..right? but how many have actualyl played it? Unfortuantely when looking glass went out of buisness there wasnt enough funds left to promote the final product. The shelflife was nihl. IM simply trying to get ..in my humble opinion...a game that should be considered art recognized. That is not to say that DEus Ex is not that..it is actually..but it is pretty well recieved and loved and accepted as amazing in the gaming community. Same with HAlf-life of course. IMHO, Arcanum is also underappreciated..overshadowed by..ugh..Diablo. Dont get me wrong..diablo rocks..but arcanum is soooooo muuuuuch more detailed...soo much better....

YEs once counter strike went retail.. it went to hell...who rememebrs playing when the damn colt was actually called a colt..adn the worst hack was a spraypaint hack? hell.. i even rememebr the beta mod...oh ..those were the days.

And another game i will suggest..... if you want to end you social life of course...EVERCRAC..er... i mean everquest. ITs rather addictive.

hey, I played septerra core alot. It's Japanese Style so it suits me. It's quite long and hard actually. The bosses are hard to kill.

Don't get me started, about Counter-Strike. I used to love that game. The M-4 Colt used to have a scope, and was always silent...why did you have to change it? WHY??? I started playing back in the beta 5.x days...those were the good days...no one cheated, the screw-ups from the Half-Life engine were kept to acceptable limits and it was good, addictive fun for everyone. Then the bloody aimbots came around, the wall hacks, invisibility cracks etc etc etc and it just sucked. Occasionally you'd find a good game were people actually used team tactics, and not deatmatch tactics...

Still, you and a teammate running around on 3 and 2 health respectively, searching for a guy who only needs one bullet to cut either one of you down gets the adrenaline rushing...

well regarding Counter-Strike, people over here dont play it online, they multiplay over lan or somesort of network in some computer center, about 50 pcs or more running, so most likely the server will knows whos cheating

and the reason i used "they" is i dont play it anymore its boring same thing over and over again....

about septerra core that game was good and the bosses are not hard to defeat of you know which spells to use, the only thing i hate about it is the battles are very repeatitve

and another thing i am not into fps and strategy game, the only reason i have deus ex is for the story, cause almost all of fps is find a key to open door and shoot whatever behind the door, exception to half-life and deus ex of course....

maybe thats the reason why i love fallout and arcanum it brings something new everytime you play

Septerra core..yes it is japanese style to the letter..which is one of the high points. IT does indeed have other high points as well. But hard? I stumbled across a few "strategies" that completley made the game easy. NUmber one.Get Grubb. Number two_Own the game. Thats right. Grubb is totally broken. once you get black hole...its over. HIs repair skill was absurdly powerful agains robot enemies as well.

they are like Septerra Core... heh

Actually, they are rpg turn-based game(during encounters) wherein you can use spells and physical attacks during combats, the attacks can be highlighted by some good looking limit breaks. Also there are some GFs there, so if you want some girl,... err actually GFs are guardian forces, monsters that u can summon for attacks.. and so on, well Ive only played ff8, but Ive read that the only difference with its previous incarnations where the normal looking chars in 8 as oppose to the cartoony looking one in 1 to 7.There are also some optional card games there. But what i really like with 8 was the theme song...

somethings i can tell you about ff, most has good stories, my favorite is ff6 and ff7, a lot of battle, it would be short if theres no need to level up to advance, not an rpg, a game, designed and made to look and fell like one....
every time you play (new) again its the same thing over and over....

    *covers* from flames

i had to agree music/soundtracks in the ff series are great

I don't mean to be a poker, but if you keep doing that what you did above Chryssalis, I'm gonna do more than poke. I'm serious. My policy is to have fun, but when I come here, and see things like this my blood boils. TA is lenient, but by saying that I don't mean that we allow things like this.

*whispers to Jinxed*You can edit those out of his post. You're a mod now, remember? Just take them out and leave a moderator's warning in it's place. Something like "Please refrain from using excessive annoying smilies in your posts, thanks." Or even "Cut that shit out, asshole!" if you're feeling mean.

Just trying to be helpful.

Yes, I know, BUT, I give warning to people before ACUTALLY doing something, It's my poilcy. Well Of course after some time when I will have to for the zillion time tell some one to fuck off, I will just do it. But before that time comes, I'm still normal.
BTW: Got my Alien versus Predator2 today, boy, that game rocks!!! Especially with full extra high detail and 1600x1200 reslution in 32bit color. *looks at poor unwashed kiddies who own a tnt2* Begone! Before I smite you!
edit: But yes, I'll be truthful you got me, I forgot this time I can edit 'n stuff, I'm still getting used to this. It won't be long before I edit every single post I see to
