Maybe she was suggesting using AMTUT to do it yourself? One of these days I'll give it go as well...

If so, I can only say that I am almost finished with AMTUT and wishing that the fifth installment
had been done. Too much of what I'm reading here (and drooling over) is a little beyond what's
    covered in the tutorial.

If not, well, I frequently play a thief.....

I don't know what to call what I play. I steal things, but mainly if it involves some sort of explosion, and people chasing me around town. Regardless, I've never been caught successfully, meaning everyone dies.
I would totally go werewolf, as long as I looked like the "Gray King" found in the Dredge (the color, not necessarily the size). That, and I'd like different priorities when I turned. Would lycanthropy involve your party turning against you to defend themselves, or is the "consciousness" of the main character left intact, albeit with freaky new monster powers?

You're out of luck, Gross. It's brown. I studied the four colours of werewolf (green, brown, grey and black) and came to the conclusion that the brown had the best art. I think this is because the brown one is the original and the other ones were made by changing the colours.

You lose mental powers and gain physical powers. Critical hits and critical effects shoot up (it's all level dependent) but you can't wear armour or wield weapons.
In the original version beauty went down to 1, so your party would abandon you. However I decided that although this was realistic, it was just too annoying. So now there is only a small penalty to beauty so borderline followers will leave but bosom buddies will be able to see past your exterior and so stick with you.

Cool. You could even make a special event with the Grey King for lycanthrope characters, or even make him the reason the character is the way it is...?

This sounds even MORE awesome than when you first posted the topic!
Yeah, I expected not being able to use weapons/equip armor, considering the whole monster thing going on. However, that's totally acceptable, because of the whole monster thing going on. I like how you've incorporated the change in beauty. Say you didn't change how the beauty dropped...if the whole party turned into a group of werewolves (or snakemen), would that keep them under your influence?

Expanding on Gross' idea a bit:

Best guess as to what would happen should you meet other werewolves? As in a whole village of them?

(Inspired by an actual event in 1700's France)

    Oh, hell no!

The story goes: During the 1700's there were many dozens of reports of werewolves throughout the countryside. (Peasant hysteria) In one case, an inspector traced a suspect to a village, but no one in the community would confess as to who the person might be. The inspector, finally ordered everyone in the town killed - one at a time - until someone confessed. No one did. And they were all killed. Because they were all werewolves!

Or maybe because they just didn't know who it was. It's like that whole "Beast of Geveaudan" or whatever. Turns out, it was a domesticated dog that was HUGE...and trained to attack people and rend livestock.

Sounds kind of familiar. Was that the thing in Brotherhood of the Wolf?

    OK guys.

A little something came up yesterday morning and I had to post before I could finish the message, then I forgot all about it.

My personal favorite explanation for this story comes from the fact that during the late 1600's on through the latter 1700's, there was a particularly nasty form of highwayman in central Europe. They were usually local villagers, taxed to starvation, and robbing travelers to make ends meet. The method employed was to kill the victim, then rip and slash the body enough to look like a wild animal attack.

After a few of these murderers had been discovered, somehow the term werewolves became the name for such people.

Now, as for the town... If the town had been benefiting from the activities of the men, in short order, the entire community would be behind them all the way. This is not an uncommon occurance.

The downside to the story, as is, if one person talked, they were all in for a long, painful death for colaboration. If they stayed silent, there was a chance that some of them might escape death. At the very least, the villagers cheated the inspector of his triumph of being able to report that he had killed the "werewolves" in that area.

As I said, this is my favorite explanation. However........

Since the supernatural version is the most popular...

A few years from now, if you're travelling between Dernholm and Shrouded Hills, and you come across a small, less-than-friendly town called Wolverton - you just might want to take the innkeeper's advice about continuing on your way......

The snakeman / werewolf amulets rely on 3 scripts each. One of which is 130 lines long.
So to answer your question; it doesn't and I don't think I'll ever touch them again.
But you are welcome to try...
