Well, vague off-topicness....

I know this isn't exactly modding or scripting support, but this seems the most fitting place to give a small rant, a reason behind the rant, tie it all together with how this relates to Arcanum, and then tie the whole idea into modding! Ready to watch me do this? Here we go!

Alright, so I don't believe many of you're aware of this, if any, but for the past 2-ish months I've been working on creating an 'overlay' for a webcomic, with the intent to build the overlay completely, then go back and flesh out the details of each chapter. My problem is, I've all these great ideas for a middling section, but I'ven't figured out how to build up to it, or where to go from there. I'm basically fleshing out an overlay for a book, and then going to try'n'find an artist who meets my standards (artistically), and make it into a webcomic. Catch is: I'm stuck. I'm currently caught with the above mentioned hitches, and gaming doesn't seem to get me far-away from it mentally for me to be able to truly relax and focus on other things. Simply put: I need a side-project from my side-project. I need a distraction. I love Arcanum. I would love to help improve or modify Arcanum, but, quite frankly, I don't've the damned patience to learn worlded. Hell, I was too lazy to completely learn the Dungeon Siege Toolkit, and that fucker's easy!* I would love to give something back to the Arcanum community, and given that I can't be bothered to truly learn WorldEd, that leaves me in a rather binding predicament. So, here's my purpose, which I'm sure all of you've already surmised: You give me an idea for what you want to do with your mod, and I'll either generate a plot for you, or help you generate one. I'll be honest and say that nothing I could come up with would probably come even close to Arcanum. Though I doubt that many of you could create a mod on par with Arcanum (I'd love for someone to prove me wrong). However, as far as fan-made mods go, I think I could generate some decent scripts. I currently've both msn and yahoo (though I prefer msn), and'm more than willing to work with you to find something we both like, that's feasibly possible as a project. You're also welcome to send me a message on here, though I only log-in once a day, so don't expect speedy replies.


* Actually, I did learn it, and I did make a half-ass mod, but I scrapped it because I got so nit-picky that I was arguing with myself over the placement of trees, and the lay-out of the general area.
