The same - Ice and snow at night, only I get to spend 2 - 2 1/2 hours each morning salting the sidewalks, only to have the temperature climb a few degrees, the snow turn to rain for the rest of the day, and wash all the salt away. That means there's a fresh coat of ice the next morning.

    Lovely.....

I get to move out and drive to my new location (for 6 months anyway) tomorrow afternoon.

Right when a blizzard is supposed to hit in the area west of where I live. If that shit moves or it's too crazy I might end up where I am for even longer. As if a suspected 6 inches of snowfall weren't bad enough...

It's been everything from 30F to 75F here in the past week. Makes it hard to know how to dress in the morning.

As a side note, I'll be transferring to Washington in June. Woohoo!

Here in Fryslan it is just a bit cold and rainy, but no snow and ice here. It is now 8 celcius.

The snow here is making a valiant stand against the rain and the warm temperatures we always seem to get around this time in recent years (go global warming!). Of course, everything freezes over again at night creating a world of culling where elderly people slip and break their hips at an astounding rate.

I'd much, much rather have -25 Celsius and leave it at that.

Its Summer here, its supposed to be hot instead its struggling to reach 20 Celcius most days and its constantly raining. Looks like I may be able to get a white christmas in summer if it gets any colder (its happened once in my lifetime, and another 2 times in the last 100 years that I know of).

Looking out of my window, it seems that we have about the same chance of getting a white christmas then, if this shit continues:

Got to work an saw the High wind warning starting 9am Sat to 4pm Sun. 25-35 MPH sustained with 50-55MPH gusts. Areas around us are expected to get 50-70MPH with 70-90MPH gusts.

But first a few more inches of snow are due before hand.

Looks like we're in for a bit of a blow, DF. Batten down the house.

Does anyone else see this as a sign of the apocalypse?

Well...Perhaps we could wish for the best kind of apocalypse. I would rather have a meteor impact or the Supernatural invasion, then being attack by aliens.

The best kind of apocalypse is the one where we get invaded by an alien race of all female super-human babes who force us into sex slavery.

Yes, that's exactly what I thought of when I read Japes post.

Brannigan: "We need rest. The spirit is willing but the flesh is spongy and bruised."
    Amazon: "It time snu snu!"
Fry: "Can't we just cuddle? Nooooooo!"

    No near snow.

It's like autumn. Winter has yet not stricken the mid east of Sweden.

We should redirect the Gulf Stream so that we'd get winters with a pair of balls.
