The spells Body of Water and Body of Air activate the water walking flag. As far as I can tell this was never properly implented. I've tried loading up a bit of deep water and trying to walk across it but the character stops at the shore as normal. Is water walking present anywhere in the game?
I've heard that on occasion a glitch will allow you to walk on water. Perhaps this was a proposed feature of said spells but was cut from the game.
Once Arcanum somehow managed to shift the sprite of my character a little, thus making the illusion if he was walking on the water. (But you bumped into the real coast if you walked deeper). Sadly, I forgot to take a screenshot.
I'd think you'd mess up the storyline if you could walk on water. You could go to all the islands and Vendigroth at will, and skip all the boat quests. Of course, who needs a stinkin plot anyways?
Something I forgot to mention. There was also a Merge with Stone spell. It was supposed to allow the player to pass through rock. I guess it was scrapped for similar reasons as the water walking thing. a, They couldn't get it to work. b, It would screw up the plot if you could just pass throught dungeon walls. Meiow!
Haw! I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be an ass. I was saying the box said a lot of things, and not all of them were true.
