The minimum pass around my neck of the woods is about 63% or so.

 

65% here

 

Is this high school or college? College here usually ranges from 40% as the lowest grade to 70% as the highest, because to get around 90% or over, your essay would have to be of a publishable standard.

 

Our system is really simple:
A: 100-90 %
B: 89-80 %
C: 79-70 %
D: 69-60 %
E: 59-50%
Fx: 49-Varies
F: Everything below

I think that a Fx means you will pass if you hand in some extra work, but I don't know for sure.

 

The college I went to was that below a 65% was a failing grade as an undergrad. Not sure if grad schools have a different grading scale.

 

That actually makes me feel really good about my finished essays and reports. I tend to get upwards of 95% on all writing I turn in. I thought it was just a grade.
