Yes. There is a spider recently discovered in Central America that subsists mostly on leaf buds from Acacia trees. It is the only vegetarian spider out of over 40,000 known species.

It does occasionally snack on small invertebrates, but the majority of its food is indeed solid plant matter. This represents a great find for the etymological community, because it was previously thought a spider was physiologically incapable of eating solids. The reason being how they digest food; externally. However, Bagheera kiplingi will steal these acacia leaf buds from the ants guarding them and devour the nutritious buds within 5 minutes. It's a jumping spider, so really it just has to rely on its superior mobility to get away, but also seems intelligent enough to alter its strategies for procuring the food depending on the situation. And, since it doesn't catch prey in a web, or use its silk in other ways related to hunting, it makes family homes.

Vegetarian? Good grief. And there I thought their hunting strategy was to paralyze epileptics by being looked at.

Technically if it eats other insects even occasionally it would be an Omnivore though right? Still pretty crazy stuff.

If I ever had the choice to pimp a spider that's probably how I'd have it look.

Well, to be an omnivore the spider has to eat insects more than just occasionally; 90% of its diet consists of acacia leaf buds (60% in Costa Rica {which is definitely more than occasional}). And, to further that, its body has isotopic signatures typical of an animal that eats mostly plants. So, I guess since its dietary ratios depend on its location, it could still be classified as an omnivore. However, none of the sources I found list it as either an herbivore OR an omnivore, and simply stress the words "mostly vegetarian."
Lions, on the other hand, have a diet that consists of 70% animal tissue (on the low end of the scale) and are considered hyper-carnivores, despite that the other possible %30 is plant matter, or fungus.
    That's just the male, and they're reportedly very colorful. The wikipedia entry has no pictures, but, I've got a source that does (except I think it shows either a female or another variation in the color of the species);
    http://scienceblogs.com/notrocketsc...a_kiplingi_-_the_mostly_vegetarian_spider.php
The wiki entry describes a colorful male and less colorful female.
    Here's another, from National Geographic:
    http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/10/091012-vegetarian-spider.html
Apparently, science has known about the spider for about 110 years, but it wasn't known what it ate until about 1995. Then, in 2001, a pair of biologists decided to write a book about it, which was completed in 2008, and upon completion of this book, the spider finally got some media attention.
Bagheera kiplingi, named after the panther in The Jungle Book and the author himself.

I have a theory that all animals were vegetarians before Noah's Great Flood. This contributes to that theory.

No, it doesn't, because your theory is based on a book that was written about 5,000 years ago after being passed along orally for who knows how many years.
That book also suggests there was so much water in the air that harmful UV rays were blocked, preventing people from aging like they do today. They age the way we currently see because all of the water came to earth in a massive flood. And the 8 people who survived the flood repopulated the earth.
Now, in the case of Adam and his family, this is acceptable; before Adam is even mentioned, God says he has created man in "our" image. Adam is simply the first person who has a soul, I guess. When he and his family are ousted from Eden, they mix with the soulless hordes who populate the earth.
With Noah, this is just crazy. There's so much incest going on that, if it were true, would lead to; no one alive today being able to read the bible, probably having flipper arms, and probably a ton of cancer. Literally. Per person. 2,000 pound tumors.

Noah miscalculated the food reserves and the animals had to resort to eat each other. It all makes sense now!

Sadly, the easiest prey were unicorns, dinosaurs and cats-that-were-actually-useful-for-something.

Yes, it really does. But like how a penny contributes to a million dollars. Insufficient to reach the goal.

Ever consider the idea that such genetic imperfections are the result of minor mutations that occurred as a result of the water NOT blocking the harmful effects of solar radiation? Also, with 3 sets of parents, they had to marry cousins not siblings, which was never forbidden in Scripture so I won't call that incest.

Really, as long as it's not siblings it's okay by scripture? Well that paints things in a whole new light for me :)

In fact, Scripture pretty much gives the a-okay to have drunken sex with your own father to rebuild the human race into some sort of deformed, motley crew of monsters, should the need arise.
