Virgils background (spoilers, help needed)

Virgil gets a bit flaky and eventually leaves with no warning just after we leave the Dark Elf village, saying he has to return to Caladon. So the rest of us chase him back to Caladon and eventually find him face down dead in the basement of the Sobbing Onion. All his equipment is missing (including several quest critical items like the siamese skulls) and the nearby resurrect scroll is useless to me as I am a 100% tech user and can't ask my followers to cast the scroll for me. The resurrect beans don't work either.

Am I completely stuffed at this point or does anyone have a clever answer that either prevents Virgil leaving or brings him back to life later?

there is a tech invention that lets you ressurect someone, just like the spell ressurection

i got really no experience with it, but íts out there.

 

Hah, yes. And it happens to also be called 'Reanimator'.

And it is SOLD in herbal supplies stores...for example, the one next to the inventor in tarant, up garringston bridge. If it isn't there, rest and return. Repeat until it spawns. That clear enough?
