i think virgil should be an elderly man, sorta like a report guy in the game like gilbert bates. you meet him, and you find out that, he is the famous companion, and starter of the living ones quest for saving arcanum. he seems grumpy, cause he feels as if he was nothing, just a pawn rather than the great warrior living one (sorta like how nasrudin looks down upon himself when you meet him at thanatos). he is now the head of the panari, after the death of elder joachim, and is a very powerful level 50 mage.

No, Virgil is completely devoted to you in the first game - except if you annoy him. He wouldn't get grumpy.

I think it would be cooler to meet with Raven or Magnus, seeing as how he is the leader of the Iron Clan now, although if there is an Arcanum 2 it will be hard to talk about the Living one, because of differences in race and gender....more than likely you wont meet any old characters.....how sad

You had better be sarcastic. When I am a tech character I hate giving him a good weapon because he always critically fails and dies. Then I have to go buy a 1000 coin 500 stone re-animator to resserect him! What a waste!

I liked virgil. The ever-loyal companion. It would be cool to meet with some old characters. Of course, it would be strange for some people because if you didnt play it a certain way, you might never have met them, or had them join you or somethin. Or, like you said of magnus bein the head of the iron clan, well somethin screwed up with my game, so i finally left magnus in tarant so he never found the iron clan. So if i met him in the iron clan place, if i hadnt read about him bein the head here, i would be really confused.

 

I would consider Worthless Mutt the most loyal, and I think that Magnus and Raven make a great team with Worthless Mutt. You can't loose!

 

About the only follower i had that i didnt care much for was Perriman Smythe. Didnt have Sebastian very long so i dont know about him. Of course i didnt get alot of the followers so i dont know how i would have liked them.
