Virgil in T'Sen-Ang!

If you kill all the dark elves ( how much alignment loss?), then virgil doesn't leave you! has anyone tried this?

I got virgil at lvl 38 right now and I'm not to sure I want him changed back to lvl 25 and being a mage.

OR

Do I just talk to M'in Gorad then free the ogres, who kill all the elves for me?

UPDATE:

First off I'm a master in persuation and I couldn't follow a dialog that prevented me from not killing her before she tells me everything. so the assasin outside completed the story.

well i tried it a few times to see what happens. After talking to m'in you come out and kill the the GL guy which starts the bloodshed. all the elves are after you. so I went to the ogres and got their quest, killed the mage, went back to the ogres and watched them clean up the place.

But when I went downstairs they hadn't worked on the elves down there yet, so I had my party back off and went back upstairs. came back down and everyones gone. virgil hasn't left yet UNTIL i looted the last elf. he then took off.

I saved that game as virgil leaving and reloaded from upstairs, did everything again except looting that elf. Virgil didn't talk and we went to qintarra.

So thats one way to keep virgil!

UPDATE 2:

I played letting virgil go and when I resurrected him in Caladon he was the same as when he left. Still Lvl 39 and NO zen virgil, what happened?

Where did I mess up? I got all the dialogs from him that he has changed, but no changes (except no inventory)

 

If you are good, hardly anny as there is only one or two good Dark Elves. There is a trigger point. It is easy to miss in combat.

You don't have to kill anyone.

There is a path that aviods bloodshed. It comes up at persuasion 3 I believe.

You don't have to kill him either. Go through the dialog & one path gets you a "friend of the M. H." reputation & no more incompent assasians.

Everyone gone? Or just dead? That trigger point thing again.

The big change was nerfed in the patch. He should come back with all his stuff though. I believe that Zen Vergil is truly a different NPC than Vergil. That would explain the missing inventory & level reset. (Anyone with the unpatched game ever try to loose him at a low level?) It would also explain the lack of a scheme change in the patched version.

 

yeah I got through the m'in without a battle and the assasin too (like you said got a friend of MH rep). set the ogres free and all heck breaks out except that the ogres get themselves killed and I had to pay the price.

You do get a fate point for freeing them!

Virge came back naked but same lvl. patch probably changed it. So now perriman is stuck in the room waiting!

That is a bug. In the patched game, he has everything you left him with when he returns. People have left him armed & armored like a tank & watched him clean up the bad guys!

Sugestion, run the repair option on the install disk, wether or not you want to replay everything from T'sen-Ang onward.

I once spent an hour or so arming & armoring those enslaved 1/2 Ogres, & they still all died. Some day I must follow them with healing salves / potions.

 

I just remembered that when virge left I had him naked......duh...... no wonder he came back naked!

Also i was only able to get the ogres to last one time (of course the first time), Probably because I started the fight the first time and I had cleaned out a bunch before they got released.

Followed them in other times and they always get whacked by them arrows! I tried healing them one time and they took offense to it and turned on me!

Strange things happen with them dark elves!
