"Useless" spells in Arcanum

The banishment spell for one. Unfortunately I can’t remember the other two at the moment.

 

Ahh, Mass Resurrection and Eternal Flame are the ones I was tring to think of.

I'd completely forgotten about the 3 missing spells in each collage. Which means anyone doing a mod for a 'past' or earlier Arcanum setting has some extra spells to make.

 

There's also that "regenerative shell" that Nasrudin speaks of. Kerghan also uses it and you can attach the effect to an item. It's an excellent healing spell. A nice purdy blue egg field covers you and you heal hp insanely fast. There's also Kerghan's death spell, which seems to be just a mass quench life.

There's Create Undead already. Summon Undead does just that, summons an undead creature out of nowhere. That's why I think it's in the wrong college.

Forcefield is than good spell to know.

I find that playing the mage haveing forcefield from the beginning is than good idear as it raise your armour class. Minnor healing is than other good beginning spell to have.

 

I positively love the way that the previous two posts were ignored. I can understand why he hasn't been banned. He's like a retarded puppy: as much as you want to kill it to put it out of your misery, it's too cute.

 

Is this some sort of self inflicted atonement for your management of Telcontar??

 

Purity of Water seems like a useless spell to me, as even a character with a beauty of 4 can get through most of the game without having to fight anyone due to getting a bad reaction. There are also various blessings,reputations and magic equipment that can help with reactions.

Will you stop harassing new people? This thread was on the first page, and his post isn't entirely useless, he expressed an opinion. Where else should he have posted it? Do we need another "Useless Spells" thread? No, we don't.

 

Pretty much my view. I for one would rather have one useless and repeatedly hashed thread dealing with a mostly pointless topic always within reach, than dozens or hundreds of repeatedly hashed threads cropping up dealing with the same pointless topic.
