Unofficial patch and GOG.com download?

Hey all. Does anyone know if the unofficial patch works with the gog.com release of Arcanum?

 

In one word: Yes.

 

I am currently using the following with GOG's version:

(1) Latest UAP
(2) Hi Res
(3) Town Hi Res
(4) Universal Level Remover

No issues to report thus far.

I am a bit confused about this here, is GOG’s version illegal or not?

 

Seeing as GOG has an agreement with Activision in place, and Arcanum is a part of that deal, I don't see how the GOG version could be considered 'illegal'

I don't know where folks are getting the idea that Good Old Games (GOG) is a warze site!

GOG is the brainchild of CD Projekt, the Polish developer of Witcher.

GOG isn't warez. It's legitimate, legal site. Software acquired from there is legal.

Hi. One more question. There's another version of the patch out there (UAP091225.exe) which is apparently by the same guy. Is this version not listed in the download section of this site because it's really a fake file?

I am currently using this with the GOG version. No issues so far.

 

I'm just a little cautious because it's not in the download section here and was just posted on a forum (from some person who has a similar but different name from the original author of the patch).

 

If it's RPG Codex, you should be okay.

 

Direct2Drive is Warez, too, guys. Also, EBGames. That shit is all illegal. In fact, there's only one copy of every game, and they sell it for $40 million to Pirate Bay.

This is a weird error. I installed the UOP but for some reason now I can't disable the "always run" button. Any help?
