Yes. Yes I would. But no matter how much I'd want to work with this, there's no way in hell I'd take the education necessary to make it legal.

Actually I rarely use the radioactive stuff so I don't have to worry about getting cancer. Well, apart from the UV lamp for the gels...and the ethidium bromide...and the formamide...and...
I spend most of my day trying to hold my breath.

We do use the fluorescent stuff a lot though. However we're developing transgenic animals that produce their own fluorescent molecules which is pretty handy as it allows us to skip a lot of the chemical crap.
