As usual when coming to T-A I get a little offer to install something on my computer (never read what it is, because i dont really care) but recently its been followed by about 5 broken pop up windows... whats all that about anyway?
Well, I've been lucky enough to avoid that so far. I've only been buggered by those horrid advertisements for something called Ohama Steaks while visiting this particular site. Since I downloaded CleanMyPC I haven't had any troubles with disturbing pop-ups however. That might be the resolution of your dilemma. A pop-up blocker.
Nah, I would suggest Spybot. I've only gotton two pop-ups so far with my new computer. I don't think those were because of spyware either. After you're done getting rid of all the spyware with spyware with spybot I would suggest SpywareBlaster. With the combination of those two free tools it makes it very hard for spyware to get into your system. Oh, and Spywareblaster can be found at: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
This is probably spam but I don't give a flying fuck. First of all, thank you Sleek_Jeek, for making a third option with no meaning. I'm serious. Second, the spelling is Omaha. I think it's a state or city in the USA. Third, get the Google Toolbar. It has a search tool, a pop-up blocker, and it's free.
One, it's not just the third option that's meaningless, the whole poll has no point at all. I'm sick of seeing purposeless polls. Two, maybe he was refering to steaks made from the corpse of Japanese actor Natsuko Ohama, ever think of that? I DIDN'T THINK SO. Three, if you want a search tool just GO to Google and you won't have to have yet another useless program running. Four, just get Mozilla and call it a fucking day.
Yeah, the ads suck, no we don't make money from them (Well, unless maybe Calis, the old man site admin, is holding out on us?) and... I'm sorry, what was the third thing? Oh yeah, the ads suck and I use Mozilla Firebird and am never bothered by them. Not much is going to happen about the sucky ads I'm afraid.
Nope, this site is still hosted the same way it always was, meaning: a network we affiliate with (Gamesquad, in this case, or Optigamer or whatever they're called now) gets all the money from the ads, and also maintains all contacts with the ad providers, while we put the html for their ads on our pages and we get our own place on a p4 2 ghz server with all the bandwidth and harddrive space we'll ever need in exchange.
