Those who trade in their freedom for their protection will lose both and deserve neither. In other words, I can only hope that shit will come down hard on the Egyptian government.

I'm pretty sure the moment I heard the announcement I'd be like...

    What.

And then I'd make plans to leave the country.

Solution is simple, stop revolts, wait, move out of the country, the guy they don't want will be ruling sand and mummies...

Totalitarianism already has a solution for that, they're called walls.

Hmm, I didn't know the situation was so crazy at this point in egypt...

Well, necromancers may help in reviving those mummies, lol =P

Now seriously, I don't think the people will have much choice, the Tunisian affair was easier for the rioteers because Tunisia is a relatively weak country in military and control means, but Egypt was paid 1 Billion US$ per year so their military and national security could be properly trained and armed...

I guess the solution would be to plan a decent revolt, not only rioting through the streets like they're doing.

The army tends to be loyalist in conflicts such as this, and that which you would call a decent revolt will likely result in bloodshed delivered by the armed forces, who obviously possess superior firepower and training compared to ramshackle revolutionaries. A situation which, of course, calls for international involvement and all the political hilarity that goes with it.

Indeed, that's the idea... You can't liberate a country withouth one or two deaths right?

If a bloodshed really happened, the international political view upon Egypt would be catastrophically changed. The US would most certainly get involved in it, the other countries that are not sympathetic with Egypts ideals wouldn't help and the government would be forced to renounce.
