Trouble installing the unoffiicial patch

The only patch I have installed is the most recent official patch, yet every time I try to run the unofficial patch I get an error saying it''s for the english game only, which i have, and the program closes. Any ideas?


I've searched the forum but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

 

The patch works only with the original US/UK release.

Note: The GOG version is basically the same data, just pre-cracked, so it works with it as well.

What OS are you running?

The patch should be working fine on XP/Vista/7.

I guess, your game simply doesn't match the original data then. You could try reinstalling the game, in case your files got corrupted somehow, though I doubt it will fix the problem.

 

well, i giess i'll play on the latest official patch. thanks anyway guys.

 

You can also install an older version of the UAP. The file checks were added only in the last version.

 

I had the exact same problem, all i did was get an .exe extractor like universal extractor and simply copied and pasted the files in the arcanum directory
