I personally think it's a blast. It's pretty self explanatory, for those who haven't seen it yet, go the Newgrounds link and click on "play this game" It doesn't include any begging or screaming so it's not really that bad for those who are squeamish.

I was wondering what your guys' take on it was? I think it's just a game. I love sandbox games (I think we all do, Arcanum is pretty open ended and complex, not for those who enjoy structure) and I thought it was just fun way to pass time. It's not realistic at all, the guy you torture looks like a voodoo doll. I've seen movies that have worse things than this, yet fox news claims that it will turn our children into serial killers? I don't buy that "passive" stuff, initially people like her did blame the movies, and she basically just cleared every form of passive entertainment. First it was movies, now games? I wonder what the next scapegoat is...

As fucked up as it is, it is entertaining. Someone posted it on another forum that I go to a few weeks ago.

 

If adult society is so concerned about the effect violence has on children, then they should stop producing violent media. I especially dislike how the interviewee brushed off televised violence because of its being "passive" and therefore less harmful. It seems to me that if one is going to argue that a interactive form of violent media will cause a person to commit violence, one should also agree that non-interactive form of violence will lead to more tolerance of violence.

But I do think that the game is crap, and kinda disgusting.
