Torian Kel is leaving?

Torian is evil and so is my char (-100)... almos every time I kill a "random encounter creature" or a "stay in a cave creaturu" Torian says "my hatred for you is growing"... now he has 15 to me and won't join the party unless I keep him under a spell... what should I do? he has plenty of battle... and that should do for a "blood thirtsy migdy warrior"

 

elegant dress or smoking jacket to raise reaction. fate point can be used to increase reaction as well. i dont remember if theres a bribe you can offer him.

 

I don't think he's bribable. I could be mistaken of course, but I checked his dialogue files and didn't find anything.

You could also try letting him get killed and resurrecting him, that'll improve his reaction. Unless you've already done that, in which case it won't work again.

Now if I could just figure out how to get Virgil's reaction to change as a result of being resurrected....

 

As you grow more evil, people's reaction to you decreasses. Even nice evil followers like Torian. Your new found habits of slinking in shadows, wearing bad makeup to sink your eyes & compulsivily wringing your hands saying, "mine, someday it will be mine," puncuated with a bit of drool, while just the latest style at the bad guys accademy, are really not truly endearing. The relevant stats are BE, CH, & reaction modifier.

There are several ways to raise these without spending CPs. They include; The Elegant Dress/Smoking Jacket, the Jewel of Hebe, Medalion of Beauty, the Ring of Influence, the Gipsy Blessing, Bridigit's Blessing.

You can try to do a few good quests. while he will gripe, I bet his reaction would go up.

 

I don't see why he's so evil.
I mean, at the very end, yeah, obviously he's on the side of evil (even if it's for good intentions)
But back in the day, he was not only faithful to the masters who trained him, but was fighting against Kerghan after he flipped and turned evil.
Just because he's part of that whole raising the ghoulies rot, doesn't make him evil. He doesn't want to see innocents suffer.
Unless all that time alone has made him bitter.
I think I just answered my own question.

Anyway, travelling with the undead is so gauche
