One of the programmers from Troika posted a complete list of bug features in Atari's Official Temple of Elemental Evil Forums.

It's a long list. A really long list. One which makes you wonder just how much the Q&A guys at Atari missed the first time 'round (or how much Atari wanted to shove ToEE out the door, ignoring the remaining problems with it).

Here's just some of the goodies the patch is supposed to fix:
<lu>
Mona orb quest fixed so that she will always recognize and accept the orb's return to complete her quest.

Haste now correctly gives a bonus attack with the primary weapon at the highest base attack bonus for a full attack.

equipped shields now properly count against 2-handed (x1.5) damage with melee weapons.

added Flee Combat option to Radial Menu->Movement. this is available on any map that the party transferred to via a Jumppoint Icon (i.e. N/A for Teleport or scripted map transfers). selecting this Full-Round action will incur AOO's on all party members, and then a Flee check (factors include: Survival, Character Level, Encounter CR) must be made. If successful, the entire party (including those Unconscious, Dead, or Incapacitated) is transferred back to the previous map at the Jumppoint last used. If used "Out of Combat", it will automatically transfer the party.

long descriptions for items are now available (if it is a magic item, it must be identified first). hover over the item in inventory and press SHIFT-CLICK to access the item description (in a popup window).

Male Dwarves wearing full plate no longer crash on map transfers and game loads (mismatched bones in .SKM)

Numerous crash to desktops related to spell targeting passing invalid objects to the spell system have been fixed.</lu>
The list is split up into Quest, Spells, Rules, Gameplay, Interface and Engine fixes. Be sure to check them all out. We'll post links to the patch as soon as we hear that it's out.

Spotted at the RPGCodex
Quite weird I must say. I've been reading the Atari troubleshooting forum for some time now and I must say that either bugs are responsible for multiple crashes freezes ect, or we are looking at patch ver 2 in the future. I experienced some of these bugs. But I'm one of the more lucky people who can play the game with no trouble at all. (well almost) Actually, I'm mainly hoping the patch will boost up performance. The game runs a little bit choppy, mainly during scrolling. Resolution 800x600x32 Athlon 2500+ Rad9600pro 512 ddr ram And it still runs slowly. If I was allowed to experiment with the graphic options maybe I would make it run faster. But right now I don't feel like it, since the game crashes when I change anything. Editing the .cfg file/loading it too boring. On a side note, why can't they post information in one Atari forum? There are numerous official threads in different forums.
Jinxed, if you are running an MSI KT4 seires motherboard with any Radeon video card, go to the MSI forum site right now. There are known issues with that combo that I have just become aware of. After living with them for far too long.
