The more I read you old people whine about your job the happier I feel... not really but maybe a bit more glad.

That's a pretty cool sig, although it is a mite big.

That also sounds like a pretty damn good gig there Milo. Hell, it sounds great!

Lysa made it for me a while back, but first the site was down, then my webspace disappeared, so I haven't been able to post it until now.

It's about as small as we can get it without the quality really starting to suffer. Filesize is okay (12K) so I suppose I'll leave it as is.

Although, what's the point of a signature if you don't use it?

Hoho - in the other thread where I just answered you I was thinking "Does Jar use his sig on all[i/] his posts?"

I dunno. I suppose I don't feel the need to assert my identity very often. Mainly it only becomes important in times of crisis or humour.

I think a sig should be used, so that people know it's you, and you can reinforce your message. It's a good way to spread propaganda...it's probably also a good way to use subliminal messaging...

I wouldn't know about that. Subliminal messages seem underhanded and I'd never stoop that low!

I dragged myself out of bed at 7.15 am to drive my brother to the bus stop at 7.30 am, then I came home, had breakfast and got on the computer around 8.05 am.

Let's see... I can't do Today because it's only 11 am in the morning and I'm *cough* bludging *cough* at work. So I'll do last Friday for you... Let's see, I woke up 7:15 am. Did the usual morning routine, caught the bus at 8:20 am (the bus was 5 mins late as usual). Got into work *just* before 9:00 am. Did the usual work day routine.... Meeting with the boss, randomly surfed the net because the election is over and there's no work to do (well, no work at least while they're still trying to figure out who won the election anyway....). Then caught the bus home at 5:05 pm, got home 6:00 pm. Had dinner, checked my e-mail, posted a bunch of things on this forum under a name that was too long and had to be 'adjusted' by a modrator  ..... Then that gave me an idea for an rpg thread so I sat down and started typing that up when I thought of some rules for it. So I wrote up the rules and ended up posting them on Saturday. But Friday, I played Starcraft and dropped 8 reavers into some guys base and won.... Then I played another game and this time I 'recalled' 8 reavers into some guys base and won.... Then I logged off the net (stupid slow dial-up pay per the hour connection) and then went and worked on my Arcanum mod.

Well, I think that's what I did on Friday... Some of that might've been on Saturday.... It's all a blur to me... My memory must be failing me in my old age  ...

Today I woke up at about noon. I ate corned beef hash out of the can. Then I went out to spend the last of my dwindling checking account on a suit and a pair of decent shoes, you know... the leather soled ones that make you fall down in the rain. I went down to the local tailors and bought the cheapest suit I could find, about $250. For approximately $50 more, I was sexually molested by an elderly Italian "tailor".

Then I went down to the store to get some food for the week. I did a little prayer at the ATM machine that I would have some money left in my account. $180... whew! Got some cheap McBeeyah and 5000 packages of Ramen Noodles to last me for the next couple of months.

Now I'm sitting here drinking a cheap beer and typing this.

DU, do you want to play some Starcraft some day - and who has won the bloody election?

They're cutting hours, giving me the run around. People are getting laid off. It's time for me to go.

I have what may turn out to be an inside track on a pretty nice job in the drafting/design department of a big company. It's entry level, and I'm a leeetle underqualified, but I'm hoping that I can get my foot in the door. Once that happens, I'm in the union. Oh Yeah!

It's a pretty sweet gig, especially considering the actual amount of work that I'd have to do. To give you an idea, the main reason for people leaving this job is boredom and lack of activity. I think the pay starts out somewhere around $900-1000/weekly, and the union guarantees me 2 1/2% pay increases every 6 months for cost-of-living.

But you know my tactic!! Yeah, sure why not? As long as you can tolerate a laggy connection. The best I've ever had is 3 yellow bars!!

What kind of time would you be talking about to? You're in Brisbane... What's that, about 1 hour ahead? I really should check... Anyway, How's anywhere between 7-10 pm at night sound to you? That's my time... So about maybe 8-11 for you. I think... I really should check...

No idea. We've got a hung parliament. Liberal 19 seats and Labor 23. You need 24 to win. The 4 independent MPs are all from BIG conservative (Liberal) seats BUT... One of them, Peter Lewis, is a real nutball and he's sided with Labor and thrown in a whole heap of nutball demands. So, Labor have a majority BUT... Liberal are holding on to power until Parliament sits again where they'll have a confidence motion to see which way Peter Lewis tilts. He's already said Labor... But Her Royal Maj is visiting SA and Rob Kerin (Liberal Premier) will hold off until after her visit AND The Libs are trying to force a by-election in Peter Lewis' seat of Hammond because he took out a whole bunch of ads before the election saying he'd support Liberal... It *might* be a case for the Court of Disputed Returns, as such, Peter Lewis might face a re-vote in his seat and get voted out (if polling is any indication). That means we'd get a Liberal government which would need the support of ALL the independents.... Another thing might be that Peter Lewis stays on in his seat and supports Labor.. BUT the left wing of the Labor party are apparently NOT to happy about that. Seeing as Lewis would have full control over EVERYTHING that the Labor gov does. Ie. We might end up with a Labor government that ends up being more 'Liberal'....

Of course, then there's the wonderful possibility that we'll have a Labor gov for a while, then Peter Lewis who according to my 'sources' (woohoo, I have 'sources') might change his mind and support Liberal. Then we'll have a Liberal gov for a while and then we might end up with another election before the end of the year if it all falls apart.... Either way, things are going to be pretty hectic and confused around here once Parliament starts sitting again.

Gee... I hope that all made sense..
