Actually, I was promoting 2000 as being the standard since it's a hell of a lot easier to say "yeah, you need two thousand posts," than it is to say "you need 1000 and a note worthy personality." People were given avatars because they'd earned them through proving they were worth something, or, in a few cases, because they were worth so little.

Let's enforce this by not even talking about giving avatars to people who discuss it. When I joined this forum, this sort of thing was dealt with through ostracization.

We should have just dogma'd Jarinor's rules and never let anybody make an alternate.
