Manuals disappeared, then warezing became widespread because you got the exact same thing if you downloaded it, not the other way around.

 

Another good example of creative packaging/manual writing: American McGee's Alice and the Casebook of Alice's incarceration at Rutledge Asylum. That gave alot of back story to an already gorgeous plot/game.

 

Or the manual for Mortal Kombat II (for Genesis). It has neat pictures and stories in it. My mom wouldn't let me play until I finished third grade so I basically used to sit in the elementary school library and memorize those button mashing moves (right out of the manual). She made me go to a therapist for doing that.

I do, however, play orc alot when at LARPs. You get to be disgustingly rude to people, and they think you're awesome because of it.

But our plan was only to go halfnude, but we decided it was too much makeup to do it.

You're talking about stripping down to your underpants and painting yourself green. Add a few boners and a willing female participant (or male...or sheep), and you've got orc porn. What's better is that you could videotape it and call it a LARP of the conception of one of your characters in D&D.

 

You sure could.
You just have to remember that drows are really freaky, so you might need some s&m gear to complete the illusion.
