THIS SUCKS BAD

ok this game is really starting to piss me off :x excuse my temper but ive been playing it for awhile now and i keep having problems- first i kept getting kicked off the game in the ruins of szabo- so ok i downloaded the patch and whooo hoooo it worked so i go on playing but now im in the fire pit cave and every time i open the lava pit and grab the dagger xxerox i think is its name( the one to kill victor the demon in caldon) well the game just closes on me- what the f@#% !!! any help or anyone who has an answer for this please help me out>

 

try playing in safe mode or uninstall-reinstall the game, you'd be amazed how many problems that seems to fix....... you don't have to censor yourself like F#@*, you can say fuck if you want.

 

I never had any problems with the patched game


of course with the unpatched the game kept asking questions

First thing to do, run the repair option on the install disk.

Then use the task mangler, that ctrl - alt - delete thing, to shut off everything except explorer & systray before you fire Arcanum up.

Last, get the latest driver for your video card. If you have an older machine, update all your drivers, (that's a whattheheck, mightaswell).

Same problem here, lmao :lol: thats what happened to me in the ruins of szabo- thats when i found this site and the patch!!! I just decided to start over :roll: I uninstalled all of my old files and just started from scratch off my disk- hope this will fix my many problems- and yep i already patched the new install

 

I'm a firm believer that playing this game for a long period of time, some files get corrupt. You won't know it at the time until it plays into the situation.

I have repaired, re-installed, un-installed and so on to fix the one spot but then another one pops up. I believe it has to do with the swap file that the game uses. After a while of playing and then exiting, the hard drive is goin nuts cleaning up things, ever notice that?

Defragmenting is another solution, some program may hang or crash because it can't find where the rest of it is!

I just blame all this stuff on good ole bill gates for hosing us with this operating system.......................starting way back when he sold us a bill of goods on DOS!
