Rumaki is an hors d'oeuvre of mock-Polynesian origin. It was probably invented by Victor Jules Bergeron, Jr, known as "Trader" Vic. Its ingredients and method of preparation vary, but usually it consists of water chestnuts and pieces of chicken liver wrapped in bacon and marinated in soy sauce and either ginger or brown sugar. A common incorrect spelling is ramaki.

Red meat wins. I almost died watching Iron Chef tonight, they were using this ultra-high quality beef... I suddenly understand Lister's comment about drowning in his own drool...

The best meal I can make involves skinning gourmet sausages, cooking a fuckload of herbs and vegetables in a pan, and frying said vegetables with the sausage meat and mixing in some pre-cooked rigatoni pasta at the last minute. Mmmmmm...

There is a restaurant in Friesland (Fryslan) where you can eat kangaroo or crocodile meat. I can not remember where it was, or if it still exists. Also, what do kangaroo taste like? Because I would like to try that.

It's rather difficult to describe - I've never eaten anything quite like it. If it's properly prepared, though... *droooooooooooool*

Calamari and scallops. Seafood is the best food.

I've always maintained that smoked moose heart is the best piece of meat one can ever hope to indulge in.

I maintain that eating hearts is an abomination.

I had a snake's heart while in Hong Kong. Very nice, if a little weird. You need to be able to suppress the gag reflex somewhat, they keep beating for quite a while.

Oh God, you ate a heart while it was still beating?

I knew this place was hardcore, but that's just fucked up. Now I might have to leave.

Oh please. So all of a sudden, one kind of muscular tissue is abominable as food while another isn't?

It's like those vegetarians who look down on people who eat meat, but themselves still eat fish and even poultry. Someone apparently paused too early while applying blunt force trauma to the back of their heads.
