Thieves Underground in Tarent (possible Spoilers ahead)

I talked to the fellow about joining the underground in tarent and he sent me off to get a map of the sewers. Not at all a hard task. Upon bringing the map back, he told me that Appleby needed someone to break into the estate of G. Bates and get some incriminating evidence on him. Got it. talked to Appleby finished that quest up, which as I understand it, isn't really a thieves underground quest at all. Back to the guy who gave me the map stealing quest in the first place and he is telling me that I am unable to get a new job because my skills are not up to par. People I talk to on the streets who tell me about the underground tell me that I have too many outstanding jobs, when in reality I don't have any jobs at all.

SO what are the necissary skills to have to get more jobs from the underground? All I have right now is pick pockets. I don't want to get pick locks since I'm a magick character and I can just unlock cantrip on everything. What skills do I need and how high do they have to be? I've found most of the things that the thieves tell me in rumors and they are just filling up my inventory since I can't get rid of them since I haven't officially been given the quest yet.

their is a man dressed in black that wanders, who gives out the quests. take the subways in tarant to the docks, and walk up. the first door on your left (beggar outside it) is the underground. Their is a merchant and mr. black (you can expert train prowling, pickpocket and backstab) .. you also turn in the items for the underground quests to him. Now if you walk straight out of the underground, you'll walk between two buildings, and out onto dock again, above you is the wearhouse with the twin skulls in it. to your right is the gypsie fields.

just wait their a while for a wandering man in a suit, and ask him ... what have you heard, or.. whats the news on the streets. and he'll give you Rumors... not actually quests, so if you need to see which ones you've been given, you have to go to the notes and rumors page of your book. You can be issued up to 4 at a time... once you get the items (cassies jewlerie, jewle of hebe, natala water, wyvern vemon, wisp essance, a sword, ring of virility, heron device, shreks multi barrel pistol plans, madam lils music box, potion of dark power, lucky amulet, dwarven jewels, hmm i think thats it.. their are probably more) you turn them in to mr black, then find the wanderer for more quests ( i think he is also found standing directly outside the building if you walk straight up from the underground, at night time.).

thing is,.... only 4 at a time, and remeber its in notes and rumors.. not quests.

have fun, i really enjoy doing this part (did them all w/ my 100 good allied mage (no theif skills hahah that was a fight and a half)

once you finish all the underground quests.. go back to the guy who told you to get the sewer map .. he'll offer you 1000 (talk your way to 2000) coins to get a gold statue from kree. this is also fun.. you can hug the right wall, walk all the way to the back and then hang a left, climb through a broken wall and time the wandering gaurds right.. get it without a fight (lvl 25 barbairians) although.. their are a lot of decent items hear (4 suits of dread armor, 4 or so of red barbarian armor and lots of random stuff in chests/barrels)... be warned thou, these guys are hard, and normally are posted 2 at a time. try to split them into ones, cause they hit really hard, i did the idol part and then came back at lvl 20ish with 5 followers for the barbs, and you still can't take more then 2 at once, but its a nice level , and have fun :smile: have room thou.. the statue is like 4*8 boxes or so.

If you go to Vermillion Station and talk to the (gnomish?) woman there, she will give you Underground "jobs" but they show up in _rumours_ instead of quests. Take the items you steal to 11 Low Dervish row, and Mr Black will take the items off your hands.
