So wouldn't that mean it's impossible to form an argument against logic, since it would be a self-referential argument which attempted to disprove the principle from which it was working just by using that principle?

Logic doesn't matter, wayne. In the same vein, language doesn't matter. I'm using logic and language to tell you that nothing matters.

Well, if that were true, it wouldn't matter, anyway!

Logic is natural, we cannot think illogically. Therefore we cannot think what we cannot think, and we cannot say what we cannot say. Truisms. However, logic doesn't really matter, because even before you're taught logic, you know there's something wrong with contradictions and you know that syllogisms make sense. I just think you're taking it too far.

Not far now, nearly at page 20.

I concede the logic against logic was logical, WS, but you're missing the point.

Even if it's logical, it doesn't mean it's true.

Well, that's the one case where logic does matter. When you stop making sense, you can't make arguments, and I know how much you love arguments.

No, it means it's valid! And even if I'm not, why would I even listen? It's just the way you put words and are, but! Plenty and blissful, no matter what, by necessity!

Stop spouting sense you non-crazy! I've a mind to logic you...TO DEATH!
But seriously, what's the point of validity if you're not telling the truth?

Valid for admission into your belief system, you mean.

Who made you judge, judy and executioner!

It's general! If the premises are false, the argument can still be valid, and the conclusion, true or false; if the premises are true, and the argument is valid, then you can reach a true conclusion! For example, geometry.

That's the government just trying to trick you into making sense! Put the foil hat on before they beam logic into your brain! You'll be yelling nonsense at the top of your lungs in no time!

There's a talking guinea pig in a box, a box partitioned off to contain both the guinea pig and a ravenous hobo. They both sound the same.
in two minutes, the partition will raise and allow the hobo to consume the guinea pig. However, the guinea pig is quite clever, and may be able to convince the hobo to not eat him. Regardless, after two minutes, one of the two inhabitants of the box will speak, saying, "I'm still alive."
    Who did you hear?

Conclusions are what happen when we get tired of thinking - or arguing. It's like a chalk mark on a cave wall so we can come back to it later. The very idea of true conclusion is hubris.

Edit. Page twenty! Have we made a conclusion yet?

I'm pretty sure I win by default, since your argument was basically that it makes sense to make no sense!

I also assert that I don't think therefore I am not.
