The Rules

Are being rewritten. Slowly. I've been at it for two days now, and I'm now a third of the way done.

 

What do you mean when you say "rewritten"?

Complete change as in "Rule #1: DF are god" or just and update concerning language and such?

 

Well that's good. It's sad to see the rules in someone's hand that no longer frequents the forum.

 

Hopefully there won't be so much angst and over compensation in the words this time round.

 

Even if it does, it won't change the items in my mind's auto-ignore filter one bit.

 

I hope the re-write isn't a solo effort, and that they are being posted for group review in the moderator subforum that totally doesn't exist first.

Speaking of which, where is DE, I haven't seen him around here in awhile.

 

By rewritten I mean that I'm taking a three step approach to Caity's list. First is to rewrite it in a manner that isn't angry. After that I'll begin weaving in Old English, and reconstructing it in a more historically apt manner. Finally, once it's nicely written, I'll add it to my stack of documents I'll never publish or post anywhere, and point all of you to the Consolidated GD FAQ, since that is The Rules verbatim, and ask why that doesn't explain everything you need to know.

 

I never really read the rules, just started doing what you guys do. I'm such a follower.

 

I think I have read parts of the rules on several different occasions.

 

When I thought to myself, "What DO these guys do?", the very first thing that came to mind was: "be cynical and jaded". Somehow you don't really give that impression, Gross :/

Or did I get the wrong impression?

 

Yeah, I'm not really jaded or cynical. I'm a follower pretender.
