Oh, I don't've itn't installed for a lack of space. I'm currently at 2.8Tb of storage, all in all. I just recently re-installed Vista on my gaming machine (thank you very much, X3: Reunion, for corrupting system files), and've been rather picky about what gets installed on it.

    Ha! :D

I think it's noteworthy that the vanilla game backgrounds include some for "civilized" half-ogres, and the description of ogres depicts them as generally good-natured, while orcs are not inherently good-natured, and there are no backgrounds for "civilized" half-orcs. In fact there's a background called "Raised by Orcs":

It's also interesting to note that half-orcs are ineligible for the Barbarian and Bully backgrounds, presumably because those backgrounds would be redundant.

And the fact that they always try to kill you if you don't give them the money indicates a certain level of evil.

As well, Kites have religion and make their own swords, which indicates a certain level of culture and intelligence, yet I wouldn't ask one to dinner, nor would I support unionizing them. :)

I'd say if there were a proper "good" path to the Orcish Question in Arcanum, it would be to ban orcish labor altogether, and let them return to the wild. Mistreating them in a factory could be seen as evil, but letting them hang around Tarant is a threat to saftey and order. On the other hand, I really see no inherent "evil" in the way Gar thinks about orcs. Ask him, he'll tell you. :)
