Except that Tasmania is not as useful to Australia as Quebec is to Canada.

Tasmania is very useful, my garden bed wood chips came from Tasmania.

The leering red skull says, "I think I'll plant petunias this year."

That's what gardeners are for. And old people.

I too use old people to fertilize my garden. Why, just last week I minced the sweetest old lady so that I could mix her remains with my freshly tilled soil, seeing as a person's demeanor reflects their usability as a soil additive. Now, the downside was the screaming, so I learned the hard way that you must always use chloroform to knock out the elderly before using them in your melon patch...
Oh, you meant you use old people to tend your gardens? Well, sir, you and I are on two completely different levels.

You don't actually need chloroform, mind you. Pick the right crowd and a whiff of brandy will have the same effect. Cheaper, too. Either that or raid the elderly villages with promises of candy and escape.

We actually had to -beg- for a school camp. Every other grade had had 2 or so that year, and yet after months of bitching and moaning we finally got one. It actually wasn't too bad except that the equipment was designed specifically to murder unsuspecting high school kids. Most of the canoe's had holes in them, the 'sciency' side involved pressurising bottles to the point that they exploded in your face, the brakes had no bikes (a fact I only discovered after running into the river) and I swear they left the ridges in the waterslide just to rip the hides off of unsuspecting teenagers.

I can't argue that Mariah island is a hole, I haven't been there since I was a kid but we did get marooned on that little island just outside Penguin one time. Thankfully 6 hours waiting for the tide to go back out is a little shorter than 4 days on a craptastic island.

Then again, I *have* been living here for almost 2 decades.

Ah, well, I've got another couple of years left before I've survived two decades on this crazy island, but I AM almost there now.

This leads me to believe that Darkfools math are incorrect, assuming you have lived your whole life on the island. Which I assume, since no one in their right mind would move there.

That's quite probable. I had it in my mind that Xiao was in her mid-twenties.

That might be because of the, y'know, 25th birthday thread floating about here somewhere...

    Can't say for sure though

Which would leads us to the conclusion that Xiaos family moved to tasmania when she was around 5 years old.

Which would also make her baby sister kinda around my age :p

Otherwise, it would make Xiao around me age...

I'm 25. I moved here when I was seven. Confusion solved.

He probably gets huge chunks of ice thrown to his balls, if he comes to close to her.

Or my age. Dun dun DUH.

Honestly though, it feels as if it's always far to Tasmania. Your current location doesn't matter.
