    So, the Project Eternity kickstarter allows contributors to create their own NPC or artifact should said contributor pledge $1000 to the creation of the game. Terra-Arcanum.com should obviously pay that amount, be given special thanks in gold in the game's credits and leave a permanent mark in the game, as befits our lordly station.

    Before we can do this we need to know the following:

    1) How many of you are willing to participate in this? The more the cheaper, obviously. 20 backers means that we'll pay $50 each, for instance.

    2) Who takes care of the money and sees to it being pledged to Project Eternity? I vote for myself.

    3) EDIT: Most people seem to want Muro's dagger, so we're going with the artifact angle for now.

    4) What is the nature of said artifact?

    If I've forgotten anything, do tell me.

    I'll edit in the other poll options at such time when we know what they are - I should be able to edit the hell out of this and create a series of polls in the same thread.

    I'd be willing to contribute only if said NPC or artifact wasn't anywhere near the end of this game.

    Good, keep it coming.

    One obvious problem is that all the goodies included in the $1000 pledge package will go to the one who collects the money. I imagine this could be resolved through a lottery or something.

    @Philes: perhaps placing it at the end of the game would cure your restartitis?

    Just what the doctor ordered.

    I'll contribute to this pool. I think an artifact would be better than an NPC considering the limited control we would have over the NPC's implementation.

    Personally I think Muros idea in the other thread was best. A crimson and black dagger (Arcane dagger duh).

    If we can keep it under $50, I'm in. I think the item should be a monocle. Wearing it would enable 'lordly' dialogue options.

    I also like the monocle idea, but it may not be fully implemented (they're making 50 custom items, after all) and what with the grunt work required...

    Wouldn't mention the idea if I didn't want to contribute. Monies are limited though, so hopefully more people will join the cause.

    As I said in the other thread, I think an item is a better choice than a NPC. Both a weapon (i.e. dagger) and a monocle would be quite fitting. Will comment further on this and other issues as the project progresses.

    Perhaps we should give it more than a day for all interested members to have a chance to give their "aye", though.

    We could try to inform mr. Tim Cain about this project of ours. This place has been the biggest Arcanum fan-community on the web for quite some time. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we wanted to implement a little Arcanum in his new project. Might even get a sweeter deal, who knows?
