Bah, the only thing more painful than hearing about this is my dreadful anticipation of the next star wars movie. If the 6th star wars movie sucks, I dont know how I'm going to go on living. We, as movie goers, need some kind of way to voice our opinion on the movies we view in a more realistic way than the 10 american dollars we spend on the ticket, hat kind of input just tells them the advertising got us into the god damn theater. What if every time you saw a movie you thought was awful you dropped our drawers and took a dump in the theater? What i every person in the theater that agreed with you did the same thing? If the fecal input was great enough the theaters would have to close down those theaters until the whole place was sanitary again, thereby reducing the gross profits of the movie by 10's of thousands of dollars. Hollywood would be forced to produce a better product if they wanted to continue to make money.

As for the whole self-destruction of potentially great movie series... at least we still have The Lord Of the Rings, even if its hard to go wrong with source material like that...

 

Yes, I hope the next Star Wars movie is good, though the last two sucked ass compared to the original ones.

 

The third Star Wars sounds like it should be very good, I mean, it's about the rise of the Imperials, it has to be pretty good.

It sounds like it will also be very long, cause they can do so much in that movie...

 

The next Star Wars movie had better be good because the last two have been disapointing. I, like more or less everyone else, did not like TPM, but I thought AOTC was good. Nowhere near as good as the original three, but still good. They also need to make seven, eight, and nine.

 

The Matrix is an excellent trilogy, damnit! I think many of the detractors are just pissed because they can't comprehend it's epic scope and convoluted philosophy. Okay, so I admit that the ending of Revolutions was very, very dissapointing, and just asinine, but the rest of the movie was incredible.

 

Well, I would have posted it up here, except it was on Kaaza. Which is illegal. Anyway, it had alot of clips of DragonHeart in it, which were supposed to look like the city on the lake. (I can't believe I forgot what it was called.)

 

Don't forget a Ten, Eleven and Twelve....

(Heh, actually, I think Mr. Lucus's time is comming closer and closer to an end, I'm sure he'll die between Eleven and Twelve...though, I'm sure some other people can somehow manage to take a liscence to Star Wars and create some kind of movie that is based off of the books....probably the trilogy with "Thrawn" in it, though, I've never read the books...)

 

From what I've been hearing, Lucas has already said he will not make 7, 8, or 9, but I've heard rumors that Spielburg might. I would be happy if he did that. The Thrawn trilogy would also be excellent material, as would the duology about him. Go read the books or at least those 5 anyway.

 

Well, I for one WANT Lucas to die... what the hell is the point of making 1, 2 and 3 after 4, 5 & 6 ?

 

The next star wars move is not going to be good. You know it. You can continue hoping, and I will hope that I am horribly wrong about that; however, it will suck. And I will be sad.

And for Revolutions - see it in IMAX.
IMAX makes any Action movie better. Really. When the fists in a fight scene are bigger than you are, that is seeing a movie.

Not many people can make good sequels, and Lucas has lost that talent, and obviously the Wachowskis never had it.

Jackson sidestepped that problem with Lord of the Rings by just filming them all at once, so it is more or less one giant movie.
