How do they explain away Galadriel's vial magically appearing, sincethere was no gift-giving scene at Lothlorien?

another reason they're selling the new extended versions--some of us can't stomach the thought of spending 4 hours in a movie theater chair...

Actually, the part where Galadriel gives Frodo the vial was in the theatrical version. The other parts were cut, but that one was left in.

Sounds cool... Pity that here the movie opens at Christmas, and I can't go that day.
Still, I'll go on the 26th and see for myself. That'll be my best birthday gift...
Do they really cut the Scouring of the Shire? Why oh why would they do that?

I thought it appeard small. I mean Aragorn should have appeared at the black gates with 5000-6000 men insteat it appeard he had a few hundred with him. I think the extended version will be much better though. Cannot wait to see the extened version of two towers, have bought it for my sister. what i did not like was how they displayed denethor, like a weak an unvise and powerles sruler who was sitting there doing nothing while saurons power grew .

    penis ?

Yeh ... I agree Qiliktal ..., in the book Denethor is described as a man of courage and acts really quikly when he finds out Sauron's forces were massing...

I have compiled a small list of errors (according to the book) in the film:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. Pippin never looked in the Palantír at Edoras, but outside Fangorn.

    2. "The dead army" were never involved in the huge battle, they just helped Aragorn and company to reach the harbors at Minas Tirith.

    3. When the four hobbits return to the Shire, everything is great and stuff but it shouldn't be! Saruman has still got Uruk-Hai all over Middle Earth ... and it takes quite a while until Saruman is finally killed by Grima Wormtongue (they do not show Saruman dying in the film)

    4. Frodo never fights with gollum inside Amon Amarth (Mount Doom) and Gollum is falling in to the lava because he's so happy.

    5. When the Gondorian knights and the Roharim attack the Black Gates, the troops of Sauron aren't supposed to storm out straight away, the Mouth of Sauron (Sauron's General) first comes out and has an argument/conversation with Aragorn and Gandalf.

    6. The eye of Sauron shouldn't work as a spotlight/searchlight systematicly going over Mordor. (This really was quite stupid) :-x

But all in all, Return of the King is a exellent film :)

Trust me ... it is good ...
