The Jungle Japes Custom Avatar Pageant (maybe Wolfsbane too)

So more than twice as much traffic to The House as is seen here by Silvara, and that forum's not nearly as old. For shame.

Congrats on the avatar, Wolfsbane! I'm glad you liked my additions. I would have gone for "There IS a cow level" too, if I'd been here when it was decided upon.

What's that about changing the avatar rules? Is that a reference to posts in some hidden forum that only admins/people with avatars have access to?

 

Do you mind telling us why you couldn't find them`?

 

I imagine that after a few thousand posts, that would get really old anyway.

So there aren't going to be changes? I know there was one notable exception lately, but I assume that there was general agreement over it, and I have no problem about it. After being particularly active on this forum for the last couple months, the guidelines for custom avatar creation seem pretty clear to me.

 

Actually, I had one spam can, and a whole bunch of banned avatars. Besides, Sleek's been gone for two years or so, and I'mn't the spam master I once was. I'm more like a spam guru or somethin at this point... the Blind Spamurai. Actually, I just want the avvy I've on the other forum... I think that Silvara has earned herself a custom avvy. Maybe with another flash or two.

 

Still trying to curry support amongst other members in your struggle for a custom? Ironically, had you let it lie I may have felt compelled to suggest such a thing myself.

As for Silvara, I'd have to vote 'no' on any motion that she receive one at this juncture. Nothing personal, but the rules are clear: >1000 post count, well established personality. As I mentioned before, I've yet to see either of those things. One might argue that her post count at the CN forum carries some weight, but other members here have not received the same consideration based upon post count at other forums. Also, she can have a custom avatar at the CN forum if she so chooses.

 

Another? That would imply that there was an initial flashing documented in these forums. Links, or it never happened.

Actually, I'm quite content with the firm belief that I won't ever get a custom avvy. I'd like one, but oh well. I can't say that I didn't earn my lack of ability to possess one. Sorry Silvara, but I have to agree with Japes, after reading his post. He has a good point. You should post on this forum more! *nods*

 

Uh, I never asked to get a custom avatar now - my post basically said "hey look guys, I'm the one next in line for a custom avatar" not "gimme one of those NAO!!1!!1!". And there's no such thing as a custom avatar on the other forums, since we allow everyone to put up whatever avatar they want (by the way, Xz was exaggerating; I haven't reached 1300 posts there yet, much less 1800!). Also, the only photo I have ever posted of myself was here, a long time ago (it was the one mathboy mentioned in the latest picture thread).

 

Nobody suggested that you pulled a 'wolfsbane' and asked for one, but Darkfool suggested that it might be time for it.

BTW: While scanning some ancient GD threads, I learned that Dark Elf asked for his avatar. How curious.
