Pink Floyd is amazing. In fact, just listening to them gives me a giant boner.

Depends on the song and on the album.
Ever seen "The Wall" (I mean the movie, of course).

Was monkeying with FL Studio again :D.

Currently listening to "Way to Mandalay" with Blackmore's Night. Great song, great band.

I'm also into The Pogues, Metallica, Magnum and a whole bunch a' others. A little of this, a little of that. To say that my taste of music is varied would be like saying that friend_al_23 only made spammy posts on occasion. :)

Damn straight. Dark Side of the Moon is brilliant.

Hey, nothing wrong with that...Elephant is a killer album...Black Math, Hypnotize, GYHNFIM, There's No Home For You Here (just try listening to the opening chord without thinking 'BEATLES')...it's great when you're in the mood...

I was going to agree to disagree....but hey, this is T-A!

How can you say Radiohead isn't thoughtful? As much as I'm tempted to, I won't go into Slipknot...I mean, hey, whatever makes you happy...just point me towards a, er...good...Slipknot song if you want to change my mind...

That movie is awesome. I even bought it on DVD. I'm a big Floyd fan.

I didn't say Slipknot made me happy, anyone that did get happy from it is sick and twisted. But I stand by Slipknot having more potential meaning than Radiohead. On top of that I think anyone who tries to or finds meaning in music or listens to it to complement their mood is screwed in the head/in secure.
Why, oh why would I want to get you into Slipknot, I just wanted to point out that you do did not have all the facts before you passed judgement on the world. This just begs "Wooloolooo!" and then some biblic geberish

DEATH, Queens of the Stone Age are great but both their previous albums kick the crap out of the new one. Don't get me wrong that album is good but Rated R and their first one are alot better.

Sea Dog: I haven't heard any others QotSA albums. The only other songs I have is a "Never Say Never" cover in MP3 and "Infinity" on my Heavy Metal 2000 Soundtrack.

BTW, my favorite Pink Floyd albums are "The Wall" and "Wish You Were Here".
"Dark Side of the Moon" is great, but I listened to it too often.
"The Wall" movie showed the true meaning of "phantasmagoria" ;)... Excellent movie, I must say.

I have "Songs for the Deaf" as well, and I think it's pretty good.

Cliche as it is, I can't pick a favourite Floyd song. There's just too many damn good ones around. "Coming Back to Life" makes me feel pretty good though.

Ah, no CD will ever come close to the sound of a good vinyl record... So what about the cracks? It sounds more genuine with them anyway!

Yeah, the Abbey Road medleys just aren't the same :)...

OK, I've got Meddle, A Collection of Great Dance Songs, Dark Side of The Moon, Animals, and the Final Cut. I've dabbled in some of them before...any suggestions?

I also found A New World Record in there...a nice bonus :).

Suggestion: A Sauceful Of Secrets. One of my favorites, especially the first song: "Let there be more light".

the Dark Side of Oz is playing the Wizard of Oz with the Dark Side of the Moon as the only sound. it matches up eerily well... to name a couple of spots, right when Dorothy starts to walk down the yellow brick road, "Money" starts to play, and then when they find the tin man, that's right when the heart beat sounds...

Wizard of Oz the movie, the book or I am missing something?
    Sound interesting, though.

The movie, of course. You don't expect semi-literate rednecks to know about the "book" do you?

Oh, and Dark side of the moon is the worst album ever made. Ever. The whole thing is a bunch of cacaphony.

On the subject of the Wizard of Oz, there is a very important thing they severely fucked up. THE SLIPPERS ARE SILVER, not red. SILVER. The whole thing doesn't work unless the slippers are SILVER.
Damn them, having Technicolor be a new thing and fucking it up with red slippers. They're silver, scalawag.

I was joking about the semi-literate redneck part. Actually just the semi-literate part.

Dark Side of the Moon is fucking brilliant. You just don't know how to appreciate high quality songwriting, performance and production.

The reason you think that the songs are so great is because of what comes before them. Those goddamn clocks and such do such horrible things to your ears that if the barney song followed you would consider it the highest quality songwriting, performance, and production.
