my buddy's band in las angeles just recorded their first full length demo/album type thing. (12 tracks is more than a demo, but its not all super produced like an album would be) and it is SHOCKINGLY well put together. i mean it is really really good. its all ive been listening to for about a week and a half.

what does this have to do with terra-arcanum? well you can find some mp3s from their little recording session at http://www.scriptnetwork.com/haggard/index.cgi?p=downloads

there are four excellent songs waiting for you to download them at that url. if you dont happen to be a fan of the genre then no negative comments please (please jarinor) my favorite track is winding down, super nostalgic in my opinion.

I am dubious as to whether that is even you in those pictures, Sleek. The pictures which you have posted in another thread (Kermit the Frog T-shirt) seem to depict you with another body type and hair style. The two photos which you have provided in this thread seem to disagree with one another (shoulder to head width ratio and height differences of the people indicated). I think that you are fibbing and that you have recently been turned on to this band but that you have little affiliation with them besides hearing them on recorded sessions.

Come on Cobra, don't playa-hate. Big Sleeks a rocker man. He fixes his glasses at shows and everything. :D
One time my sister and her friends talked to Kitty after a concert. It wasn't even like gay fan talk stuff, they really talked. Then security arrived...

What on Earth made you think I'd even bother in the first place?

Not at all my kind of music, but not entirely shabby either. You were right about Winding Down, it's definately the best sample in the heap.

    I'd give them 2 out of 5.

you're a fucking moron, my name is charlie, the guy i know in the band posted the picture labeling me chuck, there was 4 months between these pictures and the ones at the beach, over this period of time i did not recieve a hair cut. and how can you judge my body type when in one picture i've got a baggy t-shirt and swim trunks on, while in the other i've got a tight dress coat, and tighter jeans? in terms of my affiliation with the band, i never claimed to have anything to do with them other than the fact that i know one of the band members because he graduated from the same class and high school as me! its not like they're a huge mainstream band that i would claim to be IN with so it would sound like i'm living on the edge. please notice the basketball goal in front of the stage in the first picture. the only two shows i've seen them play were at a san pedro youth center, and a coffee shop (and not a nice part of san pedro either, at all of their shows i've had to go in a group so none of us would get stabbed walking between the car and the venue). but anyway chalupa, fuck off, thats me, its not as if these pictures were intended to show you the exact dimensions of my skull, and what my body type is.

I'm listening to winding down as I type this, and I like it... minus the fact that I can't see what I'm typing b/c the page is still loading... and if you think that's bad you should see the local punk band here in town... :) they managed to book a gig at a local coffee shop (one of those 'calm' places with computers for ppl to use) believe me, you've never seen someone jump until a small town punk rocker starts scream into the mic and the drums sound like an unmuffled automatic 50mm cannon going off. :D and yes, (just as a random note) I am a poet. lol

well i'm glad someone in this forum has good taste. or at least enough class to pretend to like it.

actually i take that back, most punk bands suck so its not really good taste. well i guess if you can recognize the good from the bad then you have good taste, but whatever. if you can like the the haggard knumb skulls then you're ok in my book, (or at least your tastes are).

i hope you all understand what i just typed.

I like Haggard, they are kind of a lighter punk rock mix... well... not so much punk (I only downloaded Winding Down), but a light rock, which is really kool... if your interested in seeing some of my ties to music, look up "Sanctuary" online... they were an 80s rock band that my half-brother was the back up for for awhile... but yea... they are pretty different from Haggard Knumb Skull, but it's interesting b/c the lead singer sounds british... which makes his rocking a bit odd... well, to an america...

gosh, thats the first time i've ever heard them described as "lighter rock"
    lol
yeah, from your description its pretty obvious you've only heard that one song by them. its the only song that really approaches "light"

ok, I guess I'm gonna have to pick up the others... but seriously, compared to the local rock/punk scene, that's pop-rock (no offense, I like HKS, but we've got some punks that would scare Ozzy himself)

youve never seen thses guys live etc. this isnt pop punk you obviously dont know what punk is (and at least have a lot to learn) if you think ozzy osbourne has anything to do with punk rock. go download some dead kennedys, or suicidal tendencies, or BAD BRAINS, or Aus Rotten, these bands are punk rock. Ozzy Osbourne is heavy metal, WAY different in terms of playing techniques and social message.

Ozzy Osbounre was a bad analogy, I confess, but I do listen to a LOT of punk... and while I'm not a big punk fan, these guys do sound kinda soft on the recording... though so do The Punctures... well, so DID the Punctures... damn falling apart bands.... meh, oh well... at least the Excused are still around.... sorry, rambling about local bands... but yea... they do sound soft if you ask me, but that may be because it's a recording...

I don't think anyone could've put it better Chulupa... I'm currently listening to String Things by Soul Ascendants (don't ask, I downloaded it on accident).... but anyway... most bands sound 'heavier' live than they do on CD just because not many bands play the same way live that they do in a studio... plus they edit the music to make it sound better...
