I don't know if any of you were watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but if you weren't, you missed the most epic Rickroll of all time, executed by none other than Rick Astley himself!

Yeah; someone linked this on another forum I go to.

What made it was that they used the original sound track of the song.

Okay, cute song and all, but for those of us living in Sanityville, WTF is RickRolling and why should I give a fuck when my PSP is right next to me? (Or indeed at any other time...)

Being from other countries really doesn't prevent you from being Rickrolled, seeing as how it's an internet phenomena and stuff.

Though in recent months its become very popular in real world settings. I know a fellow who got rick-rolled by a corner store employee two or three months ago, and people I know rick roll me constantly. A friend of mine takes great pleasure in driving down the city's main street blaring Rick Astley out his window.

I set it as a friend's ringtone... difference is, the two of us happen to legitamately like the song. :)

It's not too bad a song. Very few people know what the middle or end is like, though.

The fact that it's so mainstream now somehow....cheapens it. It's like the shock value is gone or something.

Also, him actually singing it would have been cooler!

He did sing it himself. I think this qualifies as the best RickRoll ever, and may require adequate cloning technology to top it.

Man, when I play the studio recording right next to that Macy's day parade version, they sound nearly identical.

Unless if by "singing it himself" you really meant the fact that the original recording is him.

Philes, it's actually Rick Astley on that float. He's not singing, but he's on the float. It's been over 20 years since the song came out, but it's the same facial structure.

He was lipsyncing. Poorly, I might add, but it was still humorous.

p.s: wobbler, I should kill you for that link. It's worse than tubgirl. >_<
