The Elves Bad Reaction

    Have not played all the way thru yet due to various problems; but the last time I was a high-tech character (at 100) I got bad reactions from elven merchants. The game crashed before I got to Quintarra. Now I am a tech-27 and the elves still buy and sell with me. So the question is if I maxed out tech, would the Silver Lady and all those quests be useless since they seem to hate tech-sters? Thanks for all the great info in the years of posts I've reviewed. Too bad I can't reply to some of the posts, but I understand and comply on pain of death...

    It only seems to affect the magical merchants, as far as I can tell. I've never had problems with Qintarra as a tech.

    If you have a tech aptitude at, I think, 60 or above, magick merchants won't sell to you. Same goes for tech merchants if your MA is at 60 or higher. It's cool with other people though.

    Many thanks fair Lady and Sir Elf. I have yet to increase my tech, but Qintarra went well-only took 2 hours real time to figure out how to save Sharpe's butt and only had to add a point of persuasion
