    Nonsense, old bean. All the hells are up there somewhere *points vaguely skywards* which can be proved by nearly all ancient mytholgies predicting the end of the world to come from the heavens.

    Note: nearly all. We have to have some exceptions to prove the rule, what?

    Well, Ragnarök doesn't involve the sky falling down on us, now does it? It just gets insanely cold and then we'll have giants all over the place.

    Not literally, no, but the sun and the moon do get devoured by these nasty beasts, in addition to the usual stuff ("the earth quakes, rocks fall, the world-tree Yggdrasill shakes").

    I don't have the source in front of me, but I also seem to remember stars falling and all sorts of fun things.
