The Codex...

The easiest way to picture the Codex is imagining a populous active forum peopled entirely by Drogs.

For me, it provides an interesting game-related discussion to read (and occasionally take part in) every now and then. Also, it's a good source of some quality Let's Plays.

Other than that, it's mostly a trolls-trolling-trolls, flamers-flaming-flamers kind of place. I recall DE once saying something among the lines of "The Codex is good for a laugh, but I'd rather see The House of Lords shut down than turn into a place like that", an opinion I very much share.

 

I just made a second post on the Codex, but it says 'Awaiting moderator approval'. Is there a certain post count required to freely post or does everything require moderator approval?

 

It's XenForo's questionable forced feature. Some posts get put in moderated status for some reason, and while DU doesn't yet know why and how to block it, he's aiming at getting rid of the thing.
