For the purpose of testing my hack I want to be able to get to various places in the game. Using old saves isn't any good (the changes the hack makes renders old saves incompatible).
So what is the best way to complete the game very quickly?

The 127-Level Cap mod with reduced EXP requirements for level (yes, I did that, and I don't care) and a mage with Sold Your Soul + Harm.

The good old Tulla map trick.

Go into world map, put a way point right across the city. Press stop when you are right on top of Tulla. It may take a few times to hit the inside of the city. Talk to Pelojian and you're on your way to the Vendigroth Ruins.

Levelling isn't a problem (I just talk to a purple dwarf at the crash site and bingo, I'm level 50).

I was looking more for tips like Vorak's.
e.g. how to force on key locations without doing the quests.

Well, there is also the obvious forcing of either mountain pass to get to Quintara or Caladon.

You could force Stringy Pete's cove and go to Thanotos. Kill Nasrudin and be instantly teleported to the Void, plus you get alternate dialogue from Arronax.

I don't know if it would work, but what if you went straight to the ruins and got the Vendigroth device.

You could always do like I did.

I took a copy of Virgil's dialog, and reset the MM #s to include all the map points. Add teleportation via the Arcanum editor and you're on your way!

    Ack.
    Please ignore my idiocy.
After giving you advice on it a few days ago, it somehow never crossed my mind. :smash:

Your accusing the one who demanded my firstborn of being human?

Let's see... (Leafing through folders) Here we go - "No Good Deed".....

Hey Tongs, since I'm currently in the catacombs on the island of Haven, our duel will have to wait a bit. Unless of course, you talk to Althea in the Shrouded Hills library/town hall and persuade her to let you into the escape tunnel. I'm under the main building, in the far west end, about to save a naked blonde from a fate-worse-than-death. :)

By far the easiest way to save a person from a fate worse than death is simply to kill them. It has the added bonus that they are saved permanently.

And don't worry, I was just joking about the pyrotechnic duel.
The poison will have killed you long before you reach the duelling ground...

Well, don't throw it out. If this morning's scripting works properly, I should get a Hero's Reward for saving her.

*Puts on top hat and cape*

Alright, I can fit in the dastardly villain act at one o'clock, give you an hour or so to defeat me and be on my way while you fetch your reward. Let me know if another time is good for you.

Auuu... Give me a minute while I see if those three randy half-ogres would be willing to let you take their place.
