If the guy who wrote up the lists of contradictions went through and found all those quotes, don't you think he might have actually read them in the Bible, and thus, would have known exactly what context they were being used in? Granted, he could still have taken them out of context later, but you have no real proof that he has taken them out of context and you are interpreting them exactly as they were meant to be.

There's also the big difference in God's attitude in the Old and New Testaments. I know it has to do with some new Covanent or something like that, but still, if I were writing the Bible and I wanted an excuse for someone who had trouble controlling their temper, that'd be a pretty convenient way to explain the reduction in apocalyptic destruction of towns.
