the ashlag tribe

Can you actually find the ashlag tribe or just the remains of the ancient civilization????

 

As far as I know, you only find the overgrown remains of their settlement. However, there are a few clues around, as to their demise, and if you trawl the island of Thanatos, you'll come across the monster that killed them all. Some sort of super monkey.

 

Supermonkey? The Bogaroth just has lvl20! That worhtless old elf sucks, he said he couldn't beat the Bogaroth!! ...As for the isle of Thanatos, you noticed how everyone says Thanatos is the "monster island", the most dangerous place in Arcanum... it should be called Monkey Island! It's just monkeys!! :x Somebody noticed some creature different from a monkey in Thanatos? :-? :???:

 

Bigger monkeys.

 

Thanatos is the most annoying place right after Tarant. You get in a fight every 2 metres or so you walk, and it are always worthless little creatures my followres destroy before I can even hit the R button!

 

There's already a video game that has that place in it, I believe.
I'd rather go to Candyapple island.
