I felt Avencast a little bit dull, maybe 'cause i don't really like top-down 3d games, RPG's must be either isometric or 3D, not both.

I've heard good things about Torchlight, but again is a top-down 3d game so, not for me dear.

you could consider divine divinity or the original fallouts.

I've never picked up Divine Divinity because everyone told me you spent more time patching and praying than playing.

and I've beaten both of the Fallout Games.

Yes, there are only TWO fallouts, and some fallout inspired fps.

Grab Torchlight 2 simply for the ability to play mulitplayer with friends. Torchlight one is fun until you get bored of playing by yourself. As for patrician though you may as well get 4 unless you aren't a fan of the cartoony graphics they have given it in which case grab 3.

I can't get Torchlight 2 on Amazon, and Wikipedia says it's not released yet...

Saw demo of Torchlight 2 at PAX over the weekend. I'll definitely be picking that up once it's release. Probably the only new game I'll buy in the next few years.

If you want to play really good RPG's then you should buy Ultima I-8 (Plus the add-ons), Eye of the Beholder 1-3, Wizardry 1-7, Bards Tale Trilogy and Ultima Underworld I and II.

There are others of course, (oldies, but classics) but that would only make the list very long.

Just don't buy Ultima IX, unless you want a similar experience as Fallout 3 was when compared to Fallout 1 & 2, only a billion times worse. Also the betrayal is even worse when you know it was made by the same developer as the other ones.

You‘re right. The only thing that is good for Ultima IX is throwing it away in a trashcan. Not only had they completely fucked up the canon (example: The Avatar asked at one point who the Gargoyles are or what an avatar is), but there are many bugs and it is half-finished as well. (Thanks to EA. Evil Arts)

Here you can find the original plot (who is more interesting and much better than the final product):
