Yesterday at uni a group of us decided to head to the uni bar. They had a trivia going on so we joined in and eventually won. Got ourselves a couple of free jugs of beer at the bar, this was all fine and dandy until I came to the realisation of something. The reason why we won by 1 point at the end was because I knew Robert Pattison was going for a music career and that the next movie installment of Twilight was Eclipse.

I've never felt so much shame.

Oh and Darkfool there is a very interesting blog there, the 9th down. Could be our very own?

    Again?

All the Twilight hate is becoming as annoying as the love.

It's kind of hard NOT to hate Twilight when you have to deal with the Twihards on a regular basis. Seriously, I thought I was free of it this year but nooooooooooooooooooooo, my new lab partner is an obsessive fan and keeps trying to convince me of the 'merits' (BWAHAHAHA!) of the series.

    So much HATE.

    *busts out a few nukes*

I work at a multitude of schools, one of which happens to be a middle school. I happen to have to deal with this a lot. My disgust and annoyance is fully justified.

That blog is embarrassing just to read. I've not had to deal with as much Twilight crap this year, since most of that breed failed the literature exams. Wonder why. It's baffling, though. For all the years I've loved something, not once have I felt the need to let the world know. Why do they?

Oh hell FUCK no. Caitlin is a pretty common name and the most common spelling, thank you.

If I was this girl I'd kill myself out of shame.

How about the new "Slaughter House Rules" by Pelosi and Company?

Not enough people are in favor of socialized health care and the death of the medical industry? Let's pass it anyway!

    EDIT: Or how about these?

Not nuke worthy. The title promised me some nuclear necessity. Still disappointed.

That thing is a serious blow to democracy though.

P.S. Things like that in Texas is the reason the FSM has appeared to us "again". =p

    Not nuke worthy?

If this doesn't get blocked by the courts then it means the Speaker for the House can deem to have passed bills by simply talking to an empty building. The Senate can then follow suit. Soon the two heads would be able to sit at a table in a room with the president allowing the 3 to run the country as they see fit, freeing up the senators and congressmen to do what they do best: campaign for the next election.

I meant that it would not be provoking war between countries, which was what I thought to be the context at first.

We have a situation like the one you meantioned, although since our incumbent party has complete control of the executive and legislative branches along with the police force, they're now fighting to extend their influence to the courts/judicial branch and the military.

Bad mojo, considering democracy depends on the seperation of powers.

Universal health care isn't the death of the medical industry. It's not like the doctors no longer get paid.

Yes because a the Democrats certainly shouldn't be able to make laws if the approximately 41% (for both chambers) Republican majorities don't like it. That would obviously be a violation of the Constitution.

From the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons. Universal Health Care at its finest. BNH is largely regarded as the worst health care system in the world. When America follows suit and adopts a Universal Health Care we'll be walking backwards into the glorious days of the dark ages. Grab your leeches and start bleeding the patients.

(yes those last two sentences are intentionally dramatized for effect.)

Yes, that's with state owned hospitals, and as far as I understand that's not what's being proposed in the US. The bill will make the (federal) state act as an insurance company.
