Well, I basically want to know if it is worth it to put all of the points into electricity to get a Telsa gun. How good is it? Is ammo plentiful? Or am I better off just using another gun?
A lot of it depends on personal preference. Some people will tell you that the Tesla Gun is the best in the game. It uses charges for ammo and those can be easily found at inventors and the factory foreman. I liked using the Tesla Gun with my electrics and gunsmity character. Healing jackets are very useful and you get a lot of other useful equipment from the Electrical tree like the Chapeau of Magnetic Inversion, Charged Rings, and the Flow Spectrometer. It comes down to a personal choice. If you have the points to spare, go for it. Otherwise just stick with the LGR.
I usually prefer the blade launcher, it makes the same average damage as Tesla, but uses bullets, and bullets are easier to buy then charges (you can buy over 400 bullets per day in Tarant, but only 100 something charges), and you don't have to invest 5 more CPs for making it. But Tesla has the highest maximum damage of all guns, and the damage is electrical. Don't use it against fire elementals and other beasts with high electrical resistance
The only two things worth a shit in the electrical discipline would be the charged ring and the flow disruptor, don't waste your time with the telsa gun. Stick with the LGR until you can get your hands on Droch's Warbringer, remember, Vendigroth can be forced.
Despite the fact that I do like the blade launcher, (Uber killer!) I prefer the Tesla Rod. It looks cooler when you shoot balls of electrically charged energy at your unsuspecting opponent, and it has a much higher rate of fire than the blade launcher. Go for it. Regards, Morden
The flow disruptor is just the only tech shield avaliable, no biggy , and it doesn't require learning electrical. And I never made Droch's warbringer, but I doubt that it beats the mechanized gun you can steal during the orc riot quest. About electrical in general- charged rings rule, the rest seems like a waste of CPs. I don't like the flow spectrometer and never use it. The same with the healing jacket- as long as Jayna is with me, healing isn't a problem. Well, maybe it would be if I played an evil techie... But still wearing a healing jacket in combat is a waste of charges, it consumes power regardless to your health state. P.S. Vendigroth CAN be forced, but fighting those automatons with your good old flintlock pistol isn't such a good idea. Even the LGR in a patched game would be a bit problematic I think. That's where Tesla truly rules.
