Heh, I wanted to write the same thing. I have a GF 3, an Athlon 1.4 and 256 of ddr ram. It skips at 1280x1024x32 bit. And the game's graphics ain't really that hot. Just poor optimization.
Wow, really? All I've heard about the game are "The graphics are amazing!!!" and "Ooooh Aaaaah Uuuuunghhh, it's so goooood". I'll have to wait, and check it out myself. It's been built-up so much in my mind... I hope I'm not dissapointed.

That's because he's been "Quake 3-erised". If it doesn't have explosions, flashes of light and bloody deaths everywhere in epileptic proportions, then the graphics suck. The graphics are great, the game is great (although the learning curve can be steep, don't kid yourself about that) and once you get into it, it'll grab you and won't let go for at least a month. And even then, you'll be back - you can never really leave (I actually got that last little bit from the newspaper).
I always judge games by gameplay and storyline, not graphics or sound. That being said, the sound and graphics in Morrowind are very good in my opinion, and walking around outside at night in bad weather, it's really eerie. The lightning and thunder effects sometimes frighten me if i've cranked the volume up.
I'll agree with that. Once, I was in a building having entered it during the day. After doing a little training, I went back out to find it raining. I went off down the road among a whole load of swampy trees and there was a really loud crack of thunder and a flash. Because I hadn't realised you got realistic weather I wasn't expecting this and I nearly shat myself! The music is also really good - and atmospheric too.
soooooooooo involving....... you'll overlook the few graphical deficiencies when you start exploring....
