Hey all. I've gotten teleportation to work when linked to a trapdoor or a ladder, but I seem to have trouble getting it to work when linked to a passage!

For example, I created a 'cave entrance' and followed the procedure (disabled 'click through' and tied a teleportation script to 'use'). Now, when I click on the passage nothing happens. I tested the script by tying it to 'examine' instead of 'use'. The minute my mouse goes oven the cave entrance I am instantly teleported! I don't want this because the player may just be moving the mouse and I don't want him instantly whisked away. But it does prove the script works.

The question: Why won't it work when tied to 'use'?

Did you use ground tiles (dirt) to cover the mountain directly behind the passage?
If not, the blocking tiles in the mountain facade will stop you every time.

Got it to work - thanks! I really appreciate all of the help you've been giving me rroyo. My mod is coming along nicely.

Another thing that has stumped me: Erasing buildings. Everything else I can 'fix' by 'canceling it' or 'tiling over it'. If I build a structure, I may be able to 'blast' pieces of it, but there are always parts of it that remain. So I have been very careful not to build a structure unless I expect it to be exactly where it is at.

Is there any way around this? A way to clear out a structure?

    Anytime!

To delete buildings and caves: Hold down the Ctrl button while you use the delete in WorldEd to remove the walls & roof, then paint over the flooring.
